Course Background
A large component of this current training course was digitised in 2018 from earlier Camp Leader Guidebooks that were created by Wallace Hall (pictured to the
right) along with others. Wallace Hall was involved in the CYC Waihola ministry from the 1970s to the early 2000s. His valuable input and example of how to be a good cabin leader was certainly used by the Holy Spirit to bring many to the Lord at our camps. You will still find many involved at CYC that were once campers at CYC Waihola camps that he led at.
These people would say he was foundational to their strong faith in the Lord today. You will find these people affectionately referring to “Uncle Wallace” as they talk fondly of him and our early days of camps. Uncle Wallace “imitated Christ” in all he did.
